48-wheel maneuverability - all controlled by Cavotec radio remote units
Cavotec Micro-control, radio remote control (RRC) technologies specialist, recently hosted a three-day internal product exhibition in Hausen, central Germany.
Cavotec staff from Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway, The Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK presented, discussed and learnt about current applications, market trends, customer needs and the latest developments and standards in the RRC field.
No parking, no problem
The event included a visit to specialised transport vehicle manufacturer and Cavotec partner, Goldhofer, for demonstrations of Goldhofer vehicles carrying over-sized and heavy loads. Participants were able to remotely control the vehicle pictured using Cavotec’s MC-3-6 RRC unit. Despite its size, this vehicle is able to turn on the spot and move sideways.
Participants welcomed the chance to exchange ideas and insights on the RRC market, and we will be hosting similar events in the US and Asia in 2011.
We have reached an agreement with German heavy transport manufacturer Goldhofer to provide advanced radio remote controls (RRC) for the next three years.
Cavotec Micro-Control develops and manufactures high quality, advanced radio remote control systems that meet the vast majority of requirements for applications within the offshore, onshore, mining, maritime and process industries. Products range from standard hand-held push button terminals to more sophisticated and custom designs.
At Goldhofer, our RRC systems will allow operators to remotely steer of heavy-duty transport vehicles. Goldhofer vehicles have a payload range from 20 to 10,000 tons and already maximize production capacity with computer controlled production planning. The application of our RRC’s will further enhance the Goldhofer product offering.
