Cavotec UK recently completed a successful move to new and larger premises in Stockton-on-Tees, a site ideally suited to the company’s future growth and expansion. Working closely with the landlord, Cavotec UK has also overseen the full redevelopment of the site.
The premises were officially opened by local member of parliament and Government minister, James Wharton, on April 1, during a ceremony attended by local dignitaries, officials and media.
Cavotec UK Managing Director Gary Matthews welcomes guests.
The new facility provides a unique manufacturing environment for Cavotec Dabico’s advanced aircraft fuelling equipment systems, which are marketed worldwide. In February, Cavotec UK reported one of its strongest months to date in terms of manufacturing output and invoicing.
Cavotec Dabico in-ground pit system
This week we are proud to report our first airports order in Argentina with a deal to supply a range of advanced fuelling hydrants and related materiel for Buenos Aires Ezeiza International Airport.
One of Cavotec’s three airport units, Cavotec Dabico, in conjunction with partners, Aviation Fueling Consulting Corp, will supply 25 fuel hydrant pits and four low-point drain assemblies to Ezeiza International Airport. Low point drain pits remove non-fuel fluids and other contaminants that can accumulate in aircraft fuel pipelines.
The equipment forms a key element of a major, ongoing modernisation project at the airport announced in 2007. The programme, that includes a new terminal building, and a control tower, is due for completion in 2010/11. Located some 20 miles (35 kilometres) south west of Buenos Aires, Ezeiza International Airport handled more than eight million passengers in 2009.
…you will find Cavotec at Stand A90, Outdoor Area of the 17th Annual inter airport Europe exhibition. From October 6 – 9, the inter airport Europe exhibition will be the airport industry’s international meeting point for buyers, vendors, specifiers, decision makers, architects, consultants and system integrators. The show encompasses all aspects of airport equipment, technology, design and services.
From Cavotec, we will have representatives from the entire Airport Market Unit – Cavotec Dabico, Cavotec Fladung and Cavotec Meyerinck – all of which are market-leaders in the design and manufacture of in-ground fuel systems, airport refueling systems and advanced in-ground utility systems, respectively. At inter airport Europe, Cavotec Fladung will be presenting an “APU free” airport concept, which will help to reduce carbon emissions.
See you there!
In the September issue of Port Strategy, Stuart Pearcey “investigates the all-important link between cable suppliers and the end client.” In doing so, he addresses several key Cavotec projects, including Port of Camden’s Beckett Terminal in New Jersey, USA, the Port of Novorossiysk on the Black Sea, Ust-Luga on the Baltic, and the new terminal at the Port of Piraeus, close to the Greek capital Athens.
You will also find insightful quotes from our very own Dan Foster, VP Sales and Marketing at Cavotec Dabico, Christian Bernadotte, President of Cavotec Dabico, and Diego Sanchez, Cavotec Specimas ERTG product manager – a job well done to all.
