We have won an order from Taiwan’s CSBC Corporation to supply four AMP™systems for installation on four new-build container vessels.
Yang Ming Marine Transport will install the systems on four 6,600 TEU container vessels to be built at the Kaohsiung shipyard in Taiwan. The ships are set for completion in 2010 and 2011, with delivery of the AMP™ units expected to run from the end of 2009, until the beginning of 2011.
Once in service, these ships will be able to switch off their engines and plug into the local electricity grid at ports equipped to supply AMP™, such as the Port of Los Angeles, and the Port of Long Beach, where a growing number of vessels use shore-side electricity.

We are pleased to announce that our new MC-CD radio is now approved for use in the United States and Canada, after gaining certification from the Federal Communication Commission (FCC) and Industry Canada (IC).
Readily adaptable for use in a vast range of applications from construction to the offshore energy industry, Cavotec’s MC-CD radio operates between 458.525 MHz to 459.175 MHz, with output power of 10mW.
The model is available in two versions, the MC-CD-PLL and the MC-CD-TRX. The CD-PLL is designed for use with older systems, while the CD-TRX is compatible with all new devices.
The MC-CD on 458 MHz replaces the 440C in the US and Canadian markets.

We are proud to unveil our latest range of hand-held, push-button radio remote controls (RRCs), designed for use in the most severe and demanding of industrial and climatic environments.
The MC-2-3, and MC-2-5 are ergonomic, fully weatherproof, and offer significant improvements on existing models, such as a superior interface with an easily readable rear-lit display – a feature only previously available on more expensive products.
Both the MC-2-3, and the MC-2-5 run on standard AA batteries, and use the ISM band at 434 MHz. The accompanying base unit, MC–IRX–Lite, operates on 85 – 260 VAC and 10 – 30 VDC supply. The terminal and base unit comprise one general purpose 0 – 10 VDC feedback channel to show equipment parameters.
The new terminals will be supplied with one base unit, one charger and four rechargeable AA batteries. Cavotec’s entire range of RRCs meets the most stringent safety and quality controls, and fulfils international radio and EMC standards.
